Pearl High School’s new football field is now complete and the players took to the field for the first time Monday. Junior Running Back, Devante Nichols says his team is excited to play on such a nice surface and he thinks it might make him faster. Nichols jokingly said “I should now be able to run a 4.2.“
Pearl High School’s New Football Field is complete and Coach John Perry talks about his new playing surface.On Monday afternoon the team practiced on it for the first time. Coach Perry is excited about the enviro-turf. He says studies have proven kids suffer less injuries on this surface and he is excited about the state of the art drainage system. Coach said Madison Central has a similar field and they got to practice five more times last year because Pearls field could not absorb the rain.
Pearl High School has a new enviro-turf field. The crushed tired was placed on the field on Monday and by mid-afternoon the Pearl football team got to practice on their new field.
At the fifty yard line it has giant life-like pirate head with a sword in his mouth. Between the twenty and thirty yard hash marks it says Pirates.
In the North end zone it says Pearl and Pirates in the south end zone. The end zone turf is blue with yellow lettering, while the remaining enviro-turf is green with white numbers and hash marks with blue trim.
ETS was recently granted membership in the American Sports Builders Association. Their website states “with more than 300 member companies, ASBA is a national organization for builders, designers, and suppliers of materials for tennis courts, running tracks, synthetic turf fields, indoor and outdoor synthetic sports surfaces. It is recognized as a centralized source for technical information, including consumer-oriented information. Headquartered in Maryland, the ASBA works to raise professional standards and to insure that consumers receive services of the highest quality.”

ETS recently finished the installation of Madison Central Field in record time. The field is beautiful, and Coach Bobby Hall couldn’t be more excited to play his home opener this week. ETS will use this field as it’s “signature” field to display their work to interested clients, as it is located just a few miles away from their offices in Madison County and showcases their “EnviroMax” turf, the premier turf product offered by ETS and on the market today. Environmental Turf Services CEO Jim Bateman has worked with Mississippi College in Clinton, MS with field installation and maintenance of their football field and track. Norman Joseph, the head football coach at Mississippi College recently commented: “My experiences with Jim Bateman began in 1998…Every aspect of Jim’s product will be tremendous.
